ANNANDALE ATOMS: Any chance Annandale can rebound from a 4-6 year?
Yes. There's still plenty left in the stable and this year's senior class should make them much more competitive. We know star receiver Melvin Robinson transferred to Gwynn Park, but this is a team whose bread and butter is defined by the run, not their receivers.
Expect Jake Barnes and Tyrek Worrell to get the majority of the carries for new head coach Mike Scott, who has been a loyal assistant at Annandale since 1996. Steven Cook returns at fullback, and he should be a major help for this backfield. There isn't any reason why those three can't move the ball on the ground. They each saw significant minutes last year and now that they're each a year older, expect big things from the ground game.
