Quarterback Michael Nebrich sure has come a long way.

Once just an occasional player on a mediocre team, Nebrich has become arguably the area's most dangerous player and has helped transform Lake Braddock from an afterthought into a state title contender.

"It was definitely rough playing with that team," said Nebrich of his 2008 squad that went just 5-5. "It was definitely a frustrating year, but what we kept saying was, 'We're looking forward to next year,' and that's exactly what happened for us."
