CHANTILLY, VA - The Frank Cox Falcons boy's varsity soccer team wrapped up a perfect season with a 2-1 victory over the Battlefield Bobcats in the VHSL AAA Boys' State Soccer Championship.
The Falcons (25-0) got on the board in the 9th minute on a Chris Albiston shot that snuck under the top crossbar. Drew Hartell got the second Falcon score in the 24th minute, the game winner.
The two goal lead stood up for another 30 minutes when Battlefield's Adam Clements hit the back of the net to cut the lead to one. Clements also scored a goal in the semifinal victory over Deep Run.
Battlefield (17-4-2) made a hard run in the last ten minutes, just missing a golden opportunity when a shot went just wide to the right post with about 5 minutes remaining.

In the second game, the Stonebridge Bulldogs (21-0-2) defeated the Cosby Titans (19-2-2) 4-0 to capture the schools first AAA Girls Soccer Championship.
