Hidden Valley Grounds Eagles In OT, 3-1
RADFORD, VA - Hidden Valley scored twice in the first overtime to secure a spot in the AA Boys Soccer State Title Game, defeating Jamestown 3-1 at Radford University as part of the 2010 Spring Jubilee.
Garrett Steele scored the first goal of the match in the ninth minute to put the Titans on top.
Jamestown's Patrick O'Brien netted the equalizer in the 28th minute.
The game remained tied at 1-1 until Hidden Valley's Sebastian Lopez scored the eventual game winner in the first minute of overtime. Kevin Draudt added an insurance goal in the third minute of overtime off of a pass from Mark Strelow.
With the win, the Titans set up their fifth meeting of the season against River Ridge District rival Blacksburg for the AA Boys Soccer State Championship. The title game is set to begin at noon tomorrow on the campus of Radford University.
