PURCELLVILLE, VA - The Vikings of Loudoun Valley have always been solid in baseball under the leadership of head coach Wayne Todd. For 33 years, Todd has been winning baseball games with pitching and defense, but in 2010 his squad might do just as much damage at the plate.

The Vikings hosted Chantilly on Monday night at Fireman's field in a clash of the Concorde and Cedar Run Districts. The Chargers entered the contest 2-0, and Loudoun Valley was fresh off a defeat to Stone Bridge last Friday night.
