Woodgrove Announces Hiring Of Jerry Gordon

PURCELLVILLE, VA - Last night at the Loudoun County Public School's board meeting, Mr. Jerrold Gordon was approved as the first Head Football Coach at Woodgrove High School. Mr. Gordon comes to Woodgrove with 20 years of high school and college coaching experience and one year of professional coaching experience. Mr. Gordon, a two-time captain on the football team and graduate of University of Massachusetts at Amherst, spent his early coaching career at the collegiate level at Northeastern University, University of Massachusetts and Yale University. His responsibilities included, recruiting coordinator, defensive line coach, running backs coach and special teams coach. Most recently, Mr. Gordon has served as Defensive Coordinator at Sandwich High School in Massachusetts (6yrs) and Potomac Falls High School (4yrs) in Loudoun. A resident of Western Loudoun with his wife, Carol, Mr. Gordon brings a vision to Woodgrove that breaths fundamentals, intensity, passion, integrity, leadership and foundations for success. His plan includes making champions in the classroom, in the hallways, in the community and on the field.
