South Lakes Announces Hiring of Andy Hill

RESTON, VA - We are pleased to announce the selection of Andy Hill as our new Head Football Coach. Since 2005, Coach Hill has served as Head Varsity Coach at Park View High School in Sterling, Virginia. Coach Hill is a 2000 graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Linda Jones, Director of Student Activities, "Coach Hill is a proven winner and will do an excellent job with our football program." Our Principal, Bruce Butler, said "Coach Hill brings a wealth of experience and excitement to the position. He is thorough and a detailed planner. He is a student of the game and has a positive impact on student-athletes."
As Head Coach at Park View, here are some of Coach Hill's accomplishments:
* Dulles District Champions 2005, 2006 and Runner-up in 2007 and 2009
* Three consecutive region play-off berths; made playoffs four out of the past five seasons (advanced to two regional championship games)
* Dulles District Coach of the Year in 2005, 2006, and 2009
* Washington Post Loudoun Extra Coach of the Year in 2006
* Gameday Magazine AA Coach of the Year in 2006
After this season, 26 of his former players from 2005-2009 will have moved on to play college football at some level - 10 receiving at least partial scholarships.
In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Hill taught social studies at the middle and high school level for the past ten years.
