SOUTH RIDING, VA - The semifinals of the Dulles District girls' basketball tournament was chalk on Thursday night: Freedom doubled up Park View 76-38 in the opener, then Loudoun County dispatched Potomac Falls 63-38.

The top-seeded Eagles ran out and hid from the Patriots, taking an early lead and growing it throughout the contest. Freedom's 6'3" center, Kelsey Buchanan, was smooth inside as usual, cleaning up the boards and swatting away shots. Ball-moving forward Dionna Scott worked inside and outside. Brittany Poindexter was hot from beyond the arc, drilling her first five 3-balls. Jessica Escorza distributed, Jasmine Merritt delivered, Alexis Mayo defended.
