Senior forward Melanie Todd and the Lady Spartans of West Springfield leap into the top spot in the February Girls Power Poll with a 16-1 record, and are early favorites to win the Northern Region tournament.
Since the season opener of the Girls Basketball Power Poll, there has been monumental movement up and down the ladder. Uncharacteristic of the girl's poll in recent seasons, but making it quite fun to watch, nonetheless. The Oakton Lady Cougars had one bad night, and fell a few notches in January, and the Osbourn Park Yellow Jackets had an unfortunate swing that same weekend...
