LEESBURG, VA - Loudoun County jumped out to a 22-3 first quarter lead as Brittany Batts scored 12 first quarter points.
County called off the press after the first quarter, and Briar Woods continued to battle throughout as County eventually won the contest by a score of 71-46.
Batts would go on to score 19 first half points as she finished with a game high 26 points. Senior Kendra Holmes finished with 18 points, 11 in the third quarter, and seven rebounds as none of County's starters played in the fourth quarter.
Jenna Strange would pull down a team high 11 rebounds to go along with six points.
The Lady Raiders got key contributions from all 11 players and senior Amanda Grimsley had an outstanding fourth quarter scoring eight points while going four for four from the foul line.
Once again, Briar Woods played with out their senior standout Kim Bell as she is out for the season after having season ending knee surgery two weeks ago.
County improves to 12-2 overall while Briar Woods now stands at 4-9.
