POWHATAN, VA - The movie critics always are quick to say that a sequel is never as good as the original. But I'm pretty sure that rule of thumb doesn't apply to high school football, because the Broad Run Spartans are nearly finished with another best seller.
The Spartans had to win Saturday to secure their second straight berth in the Group AA Division 4 State Championship game next weekend, and despite Mother Nature's best punch, and a few haymakers from Powhatan, they prevailed 20-7.
