POTOMAC FALLS, VA - Both Jeff Hawes and John Costello have been coaching for years in Loudoun County, but it may be safe to say that neither had witnessed a game between the Spartans and Panthers like the 66-63 thriller that took place on Friday night.
Broad Run entered the game fresh off a 71-56 win over Loudoun Valley on Wednesday, and Potomac Falls was still breathing heavy from their triple overtime win over Stone Bridge.
The Panthers led by as many as 9 in the first half, but Broad Run rallied behind the shooting of Taylor Johnson. The Spartans pulled back within 2 points at the end of the half, and Potomac Falls led 33-31 heading into the intermission.
