RESTON, VA -- Is it official? Is the breakup between Westfield and the elite of the Northern Region now complete?
From a distance, yeah, it's easy to say the two are no longer together. But ask anyone who knows or has seen Westfield, and they know they'll get back together sooner or later.
After dropping a 71-68 decision to South Lakes, which put Westfield at 1-6 on the year, the first thought for most people would be, "what the heck happened? They used to be so good!" After a while, when the losses pile up, the mood suddenly changes from "what happened" to "wow, Westfield is (insert bad name here)".
Yet here's the thing: the losing won't last.
