Lake Taylor at Phoebus Preview

Presented By Danny's Glass

Lake Taylor at Phoebus at Darling Stadium 7:30PM

In a game that has become somewhat of a rivalry, the Phantoms are becoming a headache for the Titans. Last year Phoebus knocked out coach Sawyers team 14-0 in the Eastern Regional final.

Here's the bottom line to this game, can Phoebus establish the running game with senior tailback Colby Goodwyn. Lake Taylor hasn't even allowed 100 yards on the ground all year, not a single game but for the whole season, that's remarkable. So that being said the Phantoms need to find a way to get the ground game going to open up the passing game for Paul Morant.

Lake Taylor is led by Travis Williams who has become one of the most recent dominant players in this area in a long time. The senior Titan outside linebacker will be headed to University of Miami Florida. On the ground the Titans are led by RB Derrion Walton averages 110 ypg with 17 TDs. Mario Rowson is the leader in the secondary for the Titans and will be headed to College Park next year to play for Maryland.

Quarterback- Phantoms
Running Back- Phantoms
Wide Receivers- Titans
Offensive Line- Phantoms
Defensive Line- Titans
Linebackers- Titans
Secondary- Titans
Special Teams- Phantoms

This should be a solid defensive game, so don't expect too much offense. I love what coach Sawyer has done with this team, but the Phantoms will find a way to get by and go on and defend their state championship. Phoebus 17 Lake Taylor 10
