FAIRFAX, VA -- For Woodson, 2004's region championship season is no longer considered a distant memory but rather ancient history. That's because the Woodson program has seemingly resurrected itself now that they have themselves officially playing for another championship.

By virtue of their 28-9 win over South County, Woodson is able to move onto their first region title game since that '04 season. Yet what's more impressive is that Woodson's resurgence to power has come while playing in the ultra-competitive Division 6 level and in the tougher Patriot District.
