1. Oscar Smith- (6-0) Phil Sims broke the Virginia High School passing record last week against Deep Creek. Now he looks to break more as they face a 5-1 Lakeland team.

2. Phoebus- (6-0) After dominating Kecoughtan the Phantoms jumped up one spot over the Dolphins. Phoebus should roll this week as they play Menchville Thursday.

3. Ocean Lakes-(6-0) The Dolphins dropped from the No. 2 ranking because of the close game they played against a 3-4 Kellam Knights team. I know it was a rival, but the Dolphins were lucky to get out of Kellam with a win. Ocean Lakes hosts a talented Green Run team on Friday night.

4. Woodside- (5-1) Coach Dodson's team is definitely legit. If they could have held on against Phoebus two weeks ago the Wolverines possibly could be the No. 1 team in the polls. They have beaten more quality opponents than Oscar Smith has and just destroyed a pretty good Bethel team last Saturday. Their home against Denbigh this week.

5. Lake Taylor- (5-1) The Titans beat a very good physical Churchland team last Friday night 28-23. This week they have another tough test against Maury, who will be fired up because of the loss to Norcom.

6. Bayside- (6-0) The Marlins seem like the team who has just flown under the radar so far in the 757. They just keep on winning and no one seems to notice. They will take their undefeated record on the road against a solid Kempsville team.

7. Great Bridge- (6-0) Just like Bayside, the Wildcats have done nothing but win and it seems like all the publicity is going to their rivals Oscar Smith. This week they can make a big statement when No. 9 Grassfield comes into town.

8. Norcom- (6-0) The Greyhounds really didn't play anyone until last week's game against Maury. But once they gave the Commodores their worst loss of the year they proved to a lot of critics that they belong in the discussion with the top teams in the 757.

9. Grassfield- (4-2) The Grizzlies are just a few plays away from being undefeated. Losing 7-3 to the No. 1 team in the state and fumbling the ball while trying to run the clock out against Maury, that is why coach Asprey's team is the first 4-2 team in the polls. This week they have a huge game as they travel to No. 7 Great Bridge.

10. Landstown- (4-2) The Eagles are definitely flying under the radar as they sneak into the Top 10 for the first time this season. They host a stingy Salem team on Friday night.
