Thursday Night Scores Presented by Dannys Glass
Dolphins Drown Sun Devils
Even though Ocean Lakes wasn't having their best game, they still found a way to over come the mighty Salem team, 35-7. r
A few fumbles early by Ocean Lakes was not exactly what the Dolphins planned for. None the less, that did not matter as Ocean Lakes had to many weapons like Justin Hunter weapons and Lafonte Thouroood, especially in the second half, as the Dolphins outscored Salem 21-7 . On one note that is not good for Ocean Lakes is that Eli Harold had a limped off and the Dolphins faithful are waiting to see how the the injury is.
The Dolphins did play sloppy but the Sun Devils played even worse, as Ocean Lakes defense was once again dominant. Bottom line Dolphins will not lose a game until playoffs.
Denbigh beat Heritage 21-17.
Allen Simon knew he had a lot of pressure on him because he had such great receivers he had to make happy. Rodriquez Jones and Lavon Pearson are probaly the best duo wideouts in the district and they proved that Thursday night at Todd Stadium. After trailing 10-0 early, Simon decided to get hot and hooked up with Jones for a 12-yard touchdown pass. Then in the third quarter he found Jones again for a 21-yard scoring pass and capped off his night by a 20-td pass to Pearson, giving the Patriots a 21-10 lead. Simon finished the night going 15-for-22 for 233 yards and three touchdowns. Denbigh would hold on and end up winning the game.
