OAKTON, VA - Sitting at the top of the Northern Region mountain was a pretty sight for Oakton last year. Going undefeated in the regular season while winning both the Concorde District and region championships is almost as good as it can get. They did fall short by a field goal in the state semi-finals to the 11th best team in the country last year in Oscar Smith, but in terms of the Northern Region Division 6, there wasn't any better team.

Yet now Oakton must rescale that mountain that they conquered last year and it won't be easy. They lose their two starting quarterbacks in Chris Coyer and Ryan Harris, not to mention their top two backs and the heart of their defense in their linebackers. The pipeline of talent seems to always be full at Oakton but do they have what it takes to replicate last year's success?
