Offense

Quarterbacks- The QB position will be Tabb's biggest question mark entering the 2009 season after the key losses of Sean Case and Jeffery Suhurott to graduation. Luckily, Tabb will have 3 rising juniors in Michael Quintana, who the coaching staff believes could develop into an up-and-coming talent, Rex Harrison, who transferred from Nansemond Suffolk Academy, and Patrick Corbett that played quarterback his freshman year on JV, but sat out football in his sophomore year, but is back on the field this year.

Running Backs- Corey Patrick is returning for his senior season and hoping to repeat his 1,000 yard performance last year and join the Bay Rivers District first team in back-to-back seasons. Chris Junio, who was the wing back last year, will be moving over to fullback for his senior year. Patrick's company in the backfield will be two more seniors in Dillon Biagas and DeVinn Harrison, plus, an up and coming junior Alex Prior.

Wide Receivers- With having the luxury of such a prolific back field, Tabb only has to field one or two wide-outs. Chris Ham, at 5'8" and 176lbs, will be on one side and his counterpart, at 5'8" and 134 lbs, is Anthony Cuciniello.

Tight Ends- Since the Tigers will spend most of the time on the ground, they often don't use the tight end other than for blocking. But when they do it will be Jacob Kimball, a 5'11" 158lb senior.

Offensive Line/ Defensive Line- Key losses from the 2008 season - Ryan Cummins (6'3" 230lbs), Bobby Mills (6'2" 183lbs), Patrick O'Brien, and 6'1" 256 pounder, Charles Crawford. Even with those losses, Tabb is and will be a lot deeper this year than they've been in years past. Coach Lawson will have two rising juniors in Zack Kezar and Cody Norris. He also has two transfers coming in; one from Christ Church, Julius Wormley, who is 6'5 and weights 270 pounds, and transferring from Hampton Christian is Sam Barber, plus his senior Derek MacDonald.

Defense

Linebackers- OL/LB Derek MacDonald will be patrolling the middle of the field along with fellow senior LB Brett Huff. Joining them will be the team's leader in tackles from last year as a sophomore, Ian Haislip is back to rack up tackles.

Cornerbacks- Losing your starting two DB's from last year will hurt, but senior wide-out Anthony Cuciniello and running backs DeVinn Harrison, a senior, and Alex Prior, a junior, are ready to step up in the secondary.

Safeties- Senior wide-out Chris Ham and senior running back Dillon Biagas will be
helping out all-district running back Corey Patrick control the sidelines and deep threats.

Special Teams- Kicker Nick Henderson will be a solid place kicker and kickoff specialist for his senior season. Returning all kicks and punts will be the Tabb Tiger standout Corey Patrick.
