MVSA Storms through Competition

The 18u Champions struggled on the day losing all their games, but they still have a shot at the championship. They play at 9 AM against PA Intensity White to move into the quarterfinals.

ELKRIDGE, MD - The MVSA Storm teams displayed an excellent showing Saturday at the Firecracker Invitational at Rockburn Park in Howard County, Maryland.
Having won eight of their nine games, they walked off the field tired, but happy.
The 16u MVSA Storm Green squad swept up the competition and won all their games Saturday. They opened the day up at noon defeating The Catonsville Chaos 7-2.
It did not end there as the Storm Green went on to defeat the Northern Calvert Fastpitch squad 7-3 and the Chesapeake Freedom 7-1.
The 16u Storm Green is seeded #2 in today's championship bracket. They will face the winner of the Northern Calvert Fastpitch and Chesapeake Freedom game at 10:40 AM.
This should be a game the team will win sending them to the 2 PM semifinal game.
The 18u MVSA Storm teams played just as well. The Storm Yellow were also undefeated for the day.
Showing their toughness and playing back to back games in the hottest part of the day, the Storm Yellow defeated the PA Intensity Red 5-2 and the Bayside Blues Remix 8-5.
After a nice long break to relax, the Storm Yellow finished up the day with a 7-1 win in the evening over the Catonsville Chaos.
Their efforts placed the Yellow Storm in the #1 seed and they will face the winner of the Champions vs. PA Intensity White game. That game is slated for 10:40 AM.
The MVSA Storm Green 18u team had a rough start but easily came back to win 2 of their 3 games Saturday.
The PA Vipers handed the only loss to the entire Storm organization yesterday as they defeated the 18u Storm Green team 4-2.
The loss did not deflate the sails of the Storm Green as they came back in full force defeating Champions 10-4. The squad finished the day up with a 3-1 win over PA Intensity Red.
The 18u Storm Green is seeded #4 and will play Catonsville Chaos at 9 AM in the quarterfinal round.
Championship play will continue all day with the championship game scheduled for 3:40 PM for both the 16u and 18u brackets.
Be sure to catch today's action as the Storm take the field once again at Rockburn Park for the Firecracker Invitational.
There is a good chance you will see a Storm team in the finals!
