Shockley, McIntosh Lead Eagles Over Patriots
SOUTH RIDING, VA - The Freedom Eagles defeated the Park View Patriots 3-1 on Senior Night at Freedom High School. Senior Ali Moosvi and freshmen Andrew Lamont combined on a 4-hitter to stop the Patriots. Moosvi scattered 3 hits and 1 walk over 5 innings to earn the win. Lamont allowed only one base runner over two innings to earn his first varsity save.
Freedom's Brendan Shockley and Dustin McIntosh led the Eagle offense, each going 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Freshman Matt Malacane and junior Anthony Perez each added doubles as part of the Eagle's 8 hit attack. The Patriot's Adam Flees pitched a 6 inning complete game striking out 4 while not allowing a walk. Jonathon Mason led the Patriots offense with an RBI single in the first inning.
