7th Annual All Gameday Team Announcement
STERLING, VA - The 7th Annual All Gameday Team Banquet will be held on January 10th, 2009. Since 2002, the Gameday staff has been honoring the best football players in the Northern Virginia area, and this year will be no different.
The 2008 All Gameday Team will be honored at Bunker's Sports Cafe in Leesburg, Virginia. Bunker's has been the home to the All Gameday banquet now for 3 years. Every player and their family is invited to the event to celebrate the 2008 football season and their accomplishments.
Gameday selects two teams, one each for Group AA and Group AAA. In total, there are 52 players chosen (26 per team). Keeping with tradition, the All Gameday Team will feature a player and coach of the year from both classifications. Below are the nominees for the awards.
GROUP AA PLAYER OF THE YEAR:

GROUP AAA PLAYER OF THE YEAR:
- Chris Coyer (Oakton QB)
- Torrian Pace (Chantilly RB)
- Stephon Robertson (Edison RB/LB)
GROUP AAA COACH OF THE YEAR:
- Tommy Buzzo (Liberty)
- Mickey Thompson (Stone Bridge)
- Joe Thompson (Oakton)
