LEESBURG, VA - Potomac Falls completed the Leesburg sweep Friday night with a convincing 47-14 victory against host Loudoun County.

The Panthers (2-0 in the Dulles District, 5-0 overall) knocked off previously undefeated Heritage 48-21 in Sterling a week earlier. Potomac Falls has now outscored its opponents 233-79 this season. The Raiders (1-1, 3-2) entered Friday's game sky high after posting impressive wins against James Wood and Park View in their previous two games, but dug themselves a 27-0 hole and were unable to recover.

Potomac Falls scored on its first possession Friday and never looked back. The Panthers turned three consecutive Raider turnovers into three touchdowns during a 1:33 span of the second quarter to take full control at 27-0.

Senior Michael "Touchdown Maker" Baker found the end zone twice in the victory. Baker broke loose for a 59-yard TD run early in the second quarter, then added a 39-yard fumble return for a score less than a minute later. Baker now has 11 TD runs and 14 total touchdowns on the season.

"We come into every game wanting to get up quick and just keeping pounding them all the way through the game," Baker said. "I think we did a great job of that tonight."

Potomac Falls matched its season scoring average of 47 points per game Friday. Greg Woodlief connected with Tarrell Owens on a pair of touchdown passes and also rushed for two scores. Leo Pittman, who caused the fumble Baker returned for a touchdown, closed out the game's scoring with an 11-yard TD run.

"Our offense is real diverse," Baker said. "We have five or six playmakers that can put the ball in the end zone on any chance we get. When a defense can't key on one guy, they have to key on everything on the field, it opens a lot of things up for us."

Raider quarterback Joe Bushrod was under heavy pressure throughout the game. Bushrod avoided several near sacks but was pulled down six times for a loss. He passed for 212 yards, including a 52-yard TD completion to Jake Wasko. Andrew Walczak added a one-yard touchdown run, later in the game, to round out the scores for the Raiders on the night.

The Panthers will look to remain perfect Oct. 10 when they visit Sterling rival Park View (2-3), next Friday night. The Raiders will host Briar Woods (4-1). Both games can be heard live on the Gameday Radio Network. Coverage begins at 7:15pm.
