Gameday Launches Internet Network Of Sites

Visitors to the new Gameday Internet Network Websites will be able to follow their favorite teams more closely throughout the year. Gameday is in talks with several more high school teams and programs about joining its Internet Network in the coming months.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
STERLING, VA - With the 2008 football season already in motion, TCC Sports owner Andy Hayes announced today that the GamedayMagazine.com online network has begun to expand with the launch of nine new websites online. Team websites for Stone Bridge, Westfield, Oakton, Chantilly, Park View, Broad Run, Briar Woods, Liberty, and Sherando have all been launched on the Gameday Internet Network.
Visitors to these websites will find exclusive video that includes recruiting highlight reels, All Access segments with players and coaches, and game highlights on a weekly basis. In addition, every football game broadcast and coaches show will be filtered to team website front pages from the Gameday Radio Network.
The venture marks the beginning of a new era online at Gameday, and Hayes noted that there is much more to come.
"We have developed a tremendous opportunity for our local athletic teams and programs to utilize our platform and technology," Hayes said. "It is free and the network is strong to help take the online experience for the players, parents, coaches, and fans to the next level."
Similar to Gameday's new website, websites like StoneBridgeFootball.net will allow fans to listen to audio, watch video, and read game stories and statistics on a daily basis. In order to maintain the site's content flow, Gameday has developed relationships with the student journalism classes at the schools and content from GamedayMagazine.com will also be filtered into the team pages.
Fans can view the most up-to-date roster, coaching bios, the team record book, and pictures of the football and athletic program facilities.
Having a website like this is something Stone Bridge head coach Mickey Thompson has been looking forward to.
"We've been looking to develop a website for our program for sometime, and when Andy told me he could do something similar to his site, and he could filter in the games and video, I was pretty excited about it," Thompson said. "This will give our fans a new way to follow our program, and we are looking forward to also getting our kids more recruiting exposure online to college coaches."
Gameday will be introducing more team and athletic program websites within the region and across the state, which Hayes is very excited about.
"Our website is a unique platform that has been built to allow a team or an entire athletic program the ability to use with ease. In addition, we are able to help keep the information current with the amount of multimedia we produce throughout the year in various areas."
Gameday has recently launched into the New River Valley and Roanoke Valley with a website called www.gamedaynrv.com and will soon launch in Montgomery County, Maryland. That site's URL will be www.gamedaymd.com. The Hampton Roads market will launch also this fall with www.757Gameday.com to help give Gameday an extended reach across the state.
