Liberty JV Defeats N. Stafford 32 - 0

The Liberty Eagles took their JV football team into Wolverine territory tonight and came back with a victory in a hard fought battle. In the first half the North Stafford defense held the Eagles to only 7 points with an attacking defense. The Eagles defense had its back to the wall but made a valiant goalline stand when North Stafford had the ball 1st and goal from the 5 yard line. The fourth day play was from the one foot line but Liberty's "stone wall D" stepped up and tackled the Wolverine runner for a 3 yard loss on the play. The second half proved to be a more productive time for the Eagles as they scored 25 unanswered points. The Wolverines put up a hard fought battle but were unable to produce any sustained offense while Liberty capitalized on several key interceptions. The Eagle defense was very physical and held the Wolverines in check for most of the game. Liberty's running attack proved to be too much as they ate up the clock and put the game out of reach scoring their final TD of the night with about four minutes left on the clock.
