Gameday Radio Adds 3 More Partner Programs
STERLING, VA-- TCC Sports is excited to annouce the addition of three more partner schools to the Gameday Radio Network. This fall, Gameday Radio listeners will be able to follow the Westfield Bulldogs, Briar Woods Falcons, and Heritage Pride each week online live, and on-demand. The Bulldogs, Falcons, and Pride will join Stone Bridge, Park View, Broad Run, Oakton, Chantilly, Liberty, and Sherando each week on the Gameday Radio Network.
TCC Sports continues to expand its reach with unprecedented multimedia coverage of local high schools sports online. No other media broadcasting company in the United States will be streaming ten live games every weekend, an accomplishment that everyone at Gameday is extremely proud of.
For thoughts on Gameday's recent radio network expansion, we caught up with company founder and owner Andy Hayes, who mentioned he's very thrilled to work with one of the state's best programs in Westfield.
"It's pretty simple why we wanted to have the Bulldogs join our Radio Network," Hayes said. "Westfield has been the most successful football program in our area in the last eight years since they have opened, winning two state championships in that time."
"We've developed a great working relationship with their coaching staff and administration over the past few years, and we are looking forward to broadcasting every Westfield football game on the Gameday Radio Network this year and beyond."
Hayes went on record to say the Westfield coaching staff and program is one of the best he's ever seen.
"I've been around football my entire life at the collegiate and professional levels, and I think Westfield's coaches are some of the most advanced in our state," Hayes said. "No matter who they graduate, they always compete at the highest level in one of the toughest districts in the state of Virginia."
While Westfield is a program that has already left its mark on the area, the addition of a Briar Woods program that is on the fast track to success has Hayes just as excited.
"In just three years, Briar Woods has shown everyone that they are going to be a major force in the region every year," Hayes said. "We want to be their primary media partner as they continue to grow as a young school and athletic program."
As is the case with Westfield, it's no secret that coaching has played a huge role in their success.
"Charlie Pierce and I have known each other for nearly a decade now, and he has always been a winner," Hayes said. "His teams play sound, fundamental tough football, and I am 100% confident that the best is yet to come for Coach Pierce and the Briar Woods Falcons."
Heritage has also been labeled as an up and coming program that is possibly poised to arrive into the 'big time.'
"Coach Wes Driskill has built Heritage into a solid program over the past five years, and I believe they are close to becoming a perennial playoff team," Hayes said. "They have knocked on the door a few times, and 2008 might just be their year."
With the Pride joining the Gameday Radio Network this fall, Gameday's reach on the air will be expanding for the first time into Western Loudoun.
"Covering Heritage during the season on a more frequent basis will allow the Gameday Radio Network to make a new footprint into the Western Loudoun area, and that is important to us."
