Soroka, Kramer lead Spartans Past Pride 8-0


LEESBURG, VA - The Broad Run Lady Spartans continued to pound local competition in the Dulles District on Monday night, defeating the Heritage Pride 8-0. Spartan Jenn Soroka had 3 hits and scored twice in the contest to lead the way. Senior Ashley Kramer also had 3 hits and an RBI on the night as did teammate Karla Powell.

Second baseman Michelle Clohan finished the night with 2 hits and teammate Kaitlyn Tiplady added a hit and 2 RBI's.

Pitcher Caitlyn Delahaba threw a no-hitter against the Pride and won her 35th straight game on the mound. She struck out 16 along the way and finished with just one walk.

The Spartans improved to 8-0 on the season and will face undefeated Loudoun County (7-0) for the top spot in the Dulles District. The game starts at 7pm at Broad Run High School.
