Shain's 4 Hitter Leads Spartans To 6th Win
(ASHBURN, VA) - The Broad Run Spartans made it five in a row and upped their record to 6-1, (2-0 in district), with an 11-1, five inning win over the visiting Freedom Eagles.
The Spartan's defense and aggressive offense put the game away early with a 5 run second inning. Cole Shain went the distance allowing 4 hits, 5 Ks and no walks to earn his 3rd win of the season.
The Spartans literally stole the show with a total of 10 stolen bases on the night. At the plate the Spartans were led by catcher Tommy Meier (2-2) and (5-5) over the last two games. The Eagles were paced at the plate by Andrew Torre (2-2).
Spartans travel to Heritage on Friday while the Eagles play host to Briar Woods.
