Hogue's 31 Points Lead Panthers Into Regionals

SOUTH RIDING, VA - No stranger to the post-season tournament, the Potomac Falls Panthers stormed their way into the Regional playoffs again on Saturday with an impressive 81-67 win over Loudoun County in the Dulles District Championship Game. The Panthers were led by senior Alex Hogue, who put together a 31 point performance to help the Panthers secure another opportunity to continue their season. Hogue was dangerous from behind the arc, hitting 3 straight 3 pointers to open the game. He continued his assault of the Raider defense all night long and led all scorers in the contest.
Senior Aaron Sweger put in the toughest performance of the night, scoring 16 points and registering 10 rebounds in the game. Sweger was the most physical player on the court and the Raiders had difficulty matching his intensity. Loudoun County received a great performance from Donnae Lucas who scored 20 in the loss.
The Raiders pulled within 3 points late in the 3rd period after trailing by more than 10 at several points in the game, including at the half. But Potomac Falls never allowed Loudoun County to get back to even as they shut the door on the Raider's season and moved on to the next round of the post-season.
