The 2007 All Gameday Offensive Line......

GROUP AA 2007 ALL GAMEDAY OFFENSIVE LINE:

John McGahmaz - Briar Woods Center
6'4, 275lbs.......Senior

A great center makes an offensive line dominant, and that is what John McGahmaz did for Briar Woods this season. McGahmaz helped the Falcons put up record setting numbers in 2007, registering 4,010 yards of total offense, 2,000 total passing yards, and 2,010 total rushing yards. McGahmaz was the emotional leader of the Falcon offensive line that helped Briar Woods accumulate 365 of total offense per game. Briar Woods finished 3rd in the Dulles District in just their second season of playing varsity football, and made the playoffs for the first time in school history.....

Joey Christine, Sherando
6'3" 300lbs..... Senior

One of the best linemen in the state of Virginia, Christine could be counted on to create running lanes all year long. The senior was a force on the line and recorded over 30 "pancake" blocks this season. Christine was able to help pave the way for the Sherando offense, helping Markeith Brisco rush for over 1,700 yards and Ross Metheny pass for over 2,200 yards. Defensively Christine played dominant football for the Warriors with 70 tackles and 4.5 sacks. Christine is a two-time All Gameday selection.

Brian Morrison, Broad Run
6'3, 285lbs.......Senior

Backed by the senior leadership of offensive lineman, Brian Morrison the Broad Run Spartans piloted their way to an undefeated regular season and a Dulles District title. On the season, the linemen only allowed seven sacks in 10 games on quarterback Cole Shain. Morrison led the way for the Spartans as a 2007 first team All Dulles District member. The strength of Morrison and the rest of the lineman led to the Spartans rushing for over 2300 yards on the season.

Jake Muth, Broad Run
6'2, 255lbs......Senior

Jake Muth was truly an inspirational player starring at the guard for the Spartans. Muth's outstanding play opened up huge doors for the offense both in the passing game and in the running game. The efforts of Muth and the rest of the line allowed for quarterbacks Cole Shain and Chris Jessop to complete 60% of their passes for 1533 yards and 13 touchdowns. Muth helped lead 40 offensive touchdown drives in 11 games and the Spartans to their best record in school history.....

Robbie Duncan, Park View
6'4, 250lbs......Senior

As Park View's leader on the offensive line, the Patriot's Robbie Duncan led the way for a record setting season on offense. The Patriots put up big numbers every week, averaging 28.5 points per game and 271 yards per game through the air. Duncan is a big, strong, physical player who shined when Park View needed to run the football to win. The Patriots averaged 4.7 yards per carry running the football in 2007, despite primarily being a passing offense. Much of that success can be credited to the steady play of Duncan, who was also named 1st team Dulles District this season.

GROUP AAA 2007 ALL GAMEDAY TEAM OFFENSIVE LINE:

Isaac Sine, Chantilly
6-foot-3, 235 lbs......Junior

One of the toughest players on the field, Chantilly's Isaac Sine proved all year long that he was one of the best in the region. Sine led the Chargers from his guard position to a respectable 8-3 record and second consecutive playoff appearance. With Sine as one of the most consistent blockers on the line, the Chargers had the area's most feared rushing attack with tailbacks Antonio Cross, Bugsy Urrutia, and Torrian Pace. Sine also played defense and special teams for Chantilly and will be counted on heavily by the Chargers to lead the way again in 2008.....

Tyler Barfield, Westfield
6-foot-2, 285 lbs.......Junior

Barfield is as fundamentally sound as they come in this area, and as a result, nothing gets by this 285-pound monster. He was the most unheralded offensive contributor for a Westfield offense that scorched opposing defenses all year long on the ground and through the air. Despite being just a junior, Barfield played like a seasoned veteran, leading the Bulldog offense to one of its best seasons ever. Barfield will return next fall as one of the major college prospects in the area......

David Wang, Stone Bridge
6-foot-2, 290 lbs.......Junior

Stone Bridge's David Wang was a crucial part of the Bulldog's success in 2007 and it showed most in the playoffs. Wang dominated against stellar competition such as Edison, Phoebus, and Potomac to help Stone Bridge to their first title in school history. Wang and his fellow offensive linemen helped Stone Bridge put up 3,258 yards on the ground this past fall. Wang has already committed to Virginia Tech and when he returns next fall, he will be one of the most dominant offensive linemen in the state.....

Doug Boyle, Chantilly
6-foot-5, 320 lbs.......Senior

Boyle's size and stature make him impossible to miss from the stands and the same can be said on the field. Trying to go toe-to-toe can be a near impossible task for defensive linemen and most of the time, Boyle will get the better of the opposition. Boyle's physical play helped Chantilly make the playoffs for the second straight season and become known once again in the region as one of the toughest running teams around.....

Luke Bowanko, Centreville
6-foot-6, 250 lbs.....Junior

Like so many other great lineman, Bowanko has a great mix of size and speed. He's very athletic for his size, and as a result, he's been able to become one of the most efficient linemen in the region. Bowanko has a tough side to him and the right mentality to elevate his play. Under Centreville's grinding style of offense, Bowanko stood out as grueling player that was tough to beat. Just a junior, Bowanko can very well excel to be one of the better linemen in the state by the end of his senior year. Bowanko's potential is what makes him a tremendous college prospect.......
