Dotson Helps Lead Saxons Over Lady Bulldogs
ASHBURN, VA - The Stone Bridge Lady Bulldog basketball team went into Friday night's game against the Langley Saxons looking to attain their first Liberty District win, and their fourth overall. However, due to stellar performances by Rachel Warrick (16 points), and Audrey Dotson's second Double-Double of the year (13 points, 11 rebounds), the Saxons emerged victorious over the Bulldogs to remain undefeated in district play.
The first quarter started with both the Bulldogs and the Saxons trading punches for the first five minutes. The Saxons, however, went on a six point run, which featured four points from Warrick and two from Dotson, to pull ahead of the Bulldogs and take an 18-11 lead at the end of the first eight minutes.
The second quarter was quiet for both teams, with only 16 points being scored between the two teams. The Saxons accounted for 9 of those points, and extended their lead to 27-18 going into the locker room at the end of the first half.

"This win was a result of good, solid, man to man defense, along with good passing and just smart basketball," said Cheryl Buffo, head coach of the Saxons.
As for the Bulldogs, they fell to 3-7 on the season, and have yet to claim a win over a Liberty District opponent. Their district record stands at 0-3.
Warrick led the night with 16 points, 12 of them coming in the first half. Courtney Bryant of the Bulldogs posted 15 points on the night, in the losing effort.
