6 Playoff Games To Air Live Right Here Friday

STERLING, VA - Playoffs, are we talking about the Playoffs? Yep, we sure are, and we have the full lineup of games for you on the Gameday Radio Network. The first round of the Group AA playoffs gets under way on Friday night with Round 2 of the "Old School" rivalry between Broad Run and Park View. These two teams played a close 21-14 game last week with Broad Run edging the Patriots for their first ever 10-0 finish and Dulles District Championship. The two meet again at Broad Run High School in what should be another instant classic. Here's the breakdown of this game and rest that you can listen to live online on Friday night right here at GamedayMagazine.com.

Broad Run: (10-0 - Dulles District Champions)
Park View: (9-1 - # 3 Seed in the Group AA Playoffs)
Kickoff: 7:30pm
Live Pregame Coverage Begins at 6:45pm on the Gameday Radio Network
At www.GamedayMagazine.com

Game Outlook:
The Spartans and Patriots are really pretty evenly matched with the exception of two main differences that became evident in last week's meeting. Broad Run proved they could run the football on Park View's defense late in the game, and the Spartans appear to have a speed advantage with tailback Breon Earl. The Patriots must put pressure on Broad Run early and force the Spartans out of their running game in order to win this game. Look for another close one with the outcome being too close to predict.

Sherando: (10-0 - Northwestern District Champions)
James Wood: (8-2 - # 4 Seed in Group AA Playoffs
Kickoff: 7pm
Live Pregame Coverage Begins at 6:15pm on the Gameday Radio Network
At www.GamedayMagazine.com

Game Outlook:
The Warriors and Colonels met a month ago on a rain soaked night and Sherando prevailed behind the running of tailback Markeith Brisco. Brisco had 3 touchdowns and a late on-side kick that Sherando recovered propelled the Warriors to a 28-13 victory at James Wood High School. The Colonels have enough talent to make this game interesting but with Sherando at home, the Warriors should be the odds on favorite to advance to the next round. Don't be surprised though to see this game come down to a few plays in the fourth quarter.

Stone Bridge: (10-1 Liberty District Champions)
Marshall: (8-3)
Kickoff: 7:30pm
Live Pregame Coverage Starts On The Gameday Radio Network at 6:45pm online at www.GamedayMagazine.com

Game Outlook:
The Bulldogs and Statesmen played earlier in the season with Stone Bridge winning 35-0. Kareem Alexander and Jeron Gouveia had big games for the Bulldogs, but Alexander is questionable with an ankle injury for Friday's rematch. That will put junior Daniel Allen into the fold for his first major action of the season. Allen is a game breaker and should provide Stone Bridge with the speed advantage. While Marshall is starting to heat up at the right time, the Bulldogs are too strong for this game to be close in the 4th quarter. Look for Stone Bridge to advance to another regional championship game with the win.

Westfield: (11-0 Concorde District Champions)
West Potomac: (9-2 # 4 Seed in Div 6 Playoffs)
Kickoff: 7:30pm
Live Pregame Coverage Starts On The Gameday Radio Network at 6:45pm online at www.GamedayMagazine.com

Game Outlook:
Westfield is the state's hottest team with 11 straight wins and after their drubbing of South County last week in round one, the Bulldogs are ready for a strong test from West Potomac. West Potomac has the biggest offensive and defensive line that Westfield will have seen all year long and this is the first meeting between the two schools. The Bulldogs may struggle in the first half to adjust to West Potomac's strength, but with quarterback Mike Glennon and his arsenal of skill position players along side, the Bulldogs should pull away in the second half to set up another regional championship game at Bulldog Stadium next weekend.

Briar Woods: (7-3)
Millbrook: (8-2)
Kickoff: 7:30pm
Live Pregame Coverage Starts On The Gameday Radio Network at 6:45pm online at www.GamedayMagazine.com

Game Outlook:
In one of the most intriguing games on our radio network Friday, Briar Woods will travel to Millbrook for a rematch of a week 2 match-up that saw the Falcons thump the Pioneers 40-14. However, Millbrook is a different team than the one the Falcons saw at the beginning of the season after the Pioneers rattled off 8 straight wins. A close loss to Sherando proved that Millbrook was indeed a formidable post-season team. Led by linebacker/receiver Clayton Rodney, the Pioneers will look to keep the high flying Falcons in check this time around. Falcon quarterback Alex Munro must play well and receiver Tim King needs to come up big in this game for Briar Woods to have a chance to win in what should be a hostile environment.

Battlefield: (9-1 # 1 Seed In Northwest Region)
Woodbridge: (6-4)
Kickoff: 7:00pm
Live Pregame Coverage Starts On The Gameday Radio Network at 6:30pm online at www.GamedayMagazine.com

Game Outlook:
The Battlefield Bobcats will make their 1st ever playoff appearance when they host Woodbridge Friday night. The Bobcats finished the regular season 9-1 with a perfect Cedar Run District record. The only loss this season for the Bobcats was to the undefeated Potomac Panthers in Week 1 30-21. This match-up features two of the top running backs in Prince William County with Battlefield's Adrian Ingram and Woodbride's DeAntwan "Rocket" Williams. Both backs this season have surpassed the 1,000 yard mark and the game will be decided on whichever defense can make the stops.
