Not So Fast: Judge Rules In Martinsburg's Favor

MARTINSBURG, WV - According to a published report from the Journal Newspaper in Martinsburg, West Virginia, a judge in Berkeley County Circuit Court granted a temporary injunction that reverses a ruling by the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission that ordered Martinsburg High School's football program to forfeit their first two games of the 2007 season.
One of those games was against Potomac Falls High School. Martinsburg forfeited the games because of an ineligible player on the roster who saw action in the victories.
With the ruling, Martinsburg now stands at 8-0 and will be ranked #1 in the state of West Virginia heading into next week's action if the Bulldogs can beat Musselman Friday.
Potomac Falls is now 2-5 because of the injunction and decision handed down by the courts on Tuesday.
