Cadwell's 82yd Kickoff Return Saves Pride Win
BRENTSVILLE, VA - In a thriller at Brentsville in the pouring rain, The Heritage Pride came back in the 4th quarter to score 23 points to pull off their 2nd straight win of the season. Trailing 20-6 entering the fourth quarter, Heritage scored two touchdowns and hit a 37 yd field goal to take a 22-20 lead with under two minutes to go.
On the Ensuing kickoff Brentsville's Justin Donnelley returned it 85 yards for a touchdown to give Brentsville the lead back at 26-22 with 1:14 to go.
Heritage's Nick Cadwell then returned the favor by racing 82yds to the end-zone on the Brentsville kickoff to give the Pride a 29-26 victory. The lead changed hands three times in less than 30 seconds in this thriller.
The Pride improved to 2-1 and have a bye next week. They open up their league play on the 28th vs. Potomac Falls.
