Titan Football Players Sign With Frostburg
The Dominion Titan football program proudly held a signing ceremony this week, as 2 of its top tier athletes, Zack Gitzen and Ben Nightingale, agreed to play for the Frostburg State Bobcats next season.
Gitzen, the Titans MVP and 2nd Team All Dulles District selection at center and linebacker last season, was a varsity starter at both positions both his junior and senior seasons. In 2006, he amassed 31 tackles, 2 quarterback sacks, and recovered 2 fumbles.
Nightingale, also a 2 year varsity starter at several positions, converted from linebacker to defensive back in 2006 and tallied 32 tackles, 3 quarterback sacks, was involved in numerous key pass deflections, and also accounted for 2 recovered fumbles of his own.
The 2 Titans will be reunited with 2005 Titan teammate and captain, and current Bobcat quarterback Chris Whipple.
