Notre Dame Girls Drum Shenandoah Valley 7-0

The Notre Dame girls soccer team defeated Shenandoah Valley Academy 7-0 today. The Dragons were led by junior goalkeeper Grace Kettering who made her first start of the season today and had the clean sheet for the Dragons.

Grace was supported by freshmen midfielder Amber Cook who scored 2 goals and continues her dominance over VISAA opponents. A trio of underclassmen provide a big lift for the Dragons as freshmen Katie Freeman and Emily Young each scored one goal and had one assist and sophomore Mary McCarthy contributed one goal. Junior striker Deana Oriend rounded out the scoring for the Dragons as they improved to 5-0 on the season.

The Dragons return to action on April 16th as they host 2006 state quarterfinalist Seton. Kickoff is slated for 4:30.
