Williams Throws 1 hitter as Vikings Roll 4-1

The Loudoun Valley Vikings brought their record to an undefeated 5 -0 season with a win over Potomac Falls 4-1. Caroline Williams, the Vikings starting pitcher gave up 1 hit, facing 14 batters and only gave up 2 walks. Defensively, Tiffany Beachs arm makes beating her throw from 3rd a challenge to beat.
Sam Wassmann had a big defensive play in the bottom of the fifth, stopping a hard hit ball in the dirt and
making the play for the 2nd out of the inning. Hayley Grabner had a lot of action out in centerfield and came through each time for the out. Sarah Spicer had the strong bat Tuesday night, going 3 for 4.
Caroline Williams had a nice double in the 4th. Top of the sixth found Beach and Perrin Raudabaugh on base with Rachel Harvey bringing in a rbi ,as did the next batter, Allie Bartok to make the score 4-1. Rachel Harvey pitched extremely strong facing 9 batters, striking out 6 with no hits.
The Vikings play again Friday in the Lake Braddock Tournament.
