Vikings Hold On To Win Over Fauquier 2-1

The Loudoun Valley Vikings Mens Soccer team defeated Fauquier at home Wednesday night. The final score was 2-1. David Weinstein opened the scoring in the 8th minute after receiving a pass from Brian Esoda. Weinstein struck for a second goal in the 17th minute, this time from a Wyatt Eblen pass.

Justin Thomas came up big for the Vikings in goal, stopping 11 shots and saving a penalty kick. The Vikings are 1-0-0 overall, 0-0-0 in district play. Up next for Valley is Heritage on Friday night. Jimmy Simpson had the only goal for Fauquier and keeper Neil Redmon had 6 saves between the post.
