Notre Dame Girls Pull Out 3-0 Win Over Quantico
The Notre Dame Academy girls soccer team opened up the season today with a 3-0 win over Quantico High School. The Dragons were led by freshmen midfielder Amber Cook who scored all three goals in here first high school varsity contest.
Mary McCarthy and Lindsey Mancari contributed assists. The Dragons defense was very strong as they allowed only two shots on goal in the match. Senior Sarah Larson and sophomore Grace Kettering combined for the shutout.
The Dragons return to action on Saturday when they play in the first round of the Hunt Cup at Wakefield High. The game is slated for 11:00, with the Championship at 3:00 and the consolation match scheduled for 1:00.
