Oakton Coach Spannbauer Will Not Return
Vienna, VA - Oakton boys basketball Coach Dave Spannbauer will not be returning next year, leaving after just one season at the school and a 9-14 record this past winter.
"Coach Spannbauer did a lot for our student athletes and our program, but we decided to go in a different direction," said Oakton Director of Student Activities (DSA) Phil Levine. "We appreciate all his support and we wish him nothing but the best."
The Cougars fell to Robinson, 49-47, in the first round of the Concorde District tournament and dropped their final three games of the season by a combined four points.
