Throwback Week: Jue Still Charging Forward

Former Chantilly standout Bhawoh Jue
As part of GamedayMagazine.com's new "theme week" feature, we will kick things off today with the first "Throwback Week" feature. Today, we catch up with former Chantilly and Penn State standout football player Bhawoh Jue, who is now a safety with the San Diego Chargers...
One of the fastest players in the history of Northern Region football, Bhawoh Jue has gone on to bigger and better things since leading Chantilly to its lone Group AAA Division 6 state championship in 1996.
An honorable mention All-Big Ten selection after intercepting three passes and defending another 16 as a cornerback following his senior year at Penn State, Jue was moved to safety after being drafted in the third round of the NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers in 2001. During his four years with the Packers, Jue was named the team's defensive rookie of the year, appeared in the playoffs four times and helped Green Bay compile a 44-20 regular season record.
Since signing with the Chargers as a free agent in 2005, Jue has suffered through two injury-plagued seasons while battling various knee ailments, but did make his fifth career postseason appearance after San Diego went 14-2 and finished with the league's best record this past season. He finished the 2006 season with 11 tackles, making two starts in Weeks 13 and 14.
Jue's days at Chantilly were legendary, as he lettering three times in football and basketball while also participating in track and field. As a senior he led the Chargers football team to a 13-1 record under coach Dan Meier, finally breaking through after losing in the region championship game the previous two seasons.
Jue was named the region's defensive player of the year, a first-team all-state selection by the Associated Press, a first-team All-Met selection by The Washington Post and a USAToday All-American following his final campaign at Chantilly. That season, he ran for over 1,200 yards and 21 touchdowns as a tailback and recorded 73 tackles and three interceptions as a defensive back.
