Twyman Carries Martinsburg To Win



The (9-1) Bulldogs beat the (5-5) Jefferson Cougars on a cold October night 24-12. The first half was a slugfest with Martinsburg taking a 10-0 lead into halftime. The Jefferson defense limited Martinsburg to under 100 yards of offense in the first half but were unable to keep them off the scoreboard. Martinsburg came out in the second half fired up with there offense ready to get started. The Bulldogs used a strong running game combined with some key passes by quarterback Dustin Peters to put away the Cougars 24-12.

Record Setting Night
Martinsburg running back Josh Twyman went over the 100 yard mark for the 22nd time of his career. The talented senior scored 2 touchdowns and ran for 164 yards on the night. Twyman broke the 1500 yard mark on the season and he also eclipsed 4,000 career rushing yards.
