Panthers Hold On To 21-12 Win Over Heritage

(Potomac Falls, VA) - The Potomac Falls Panthers took advantage of 3 first half turnovers by the Heritage Pride on Saturday to pull out a 21-12 victory over the Pride. Potomac Falls capitalized early and often with quarterback Greg Woodlief hitting Steve Hancock for a pair of scores. Mustafa Abugideri scored the other touchdown for the Panthers as they built a 21-0 lead at halftime.

Heritage did their best to make it a game in the second half behind the play of quarterback Kyle Nelson. Nelson threw two touchdowns, one to Bobby Edmonds and one to Darius Tibbs, but the Pride were unable to get on the scoreboard again and the final score ended at 21-12 in the favor of Potomac Falls.

With the win, Potomac Falls improved to 6-4 and still holds an outside chance of winning a share of the Dulles District Title if Park View should fall to Broad Run on Friday and the Panthers win their last game against Dominion.

The Pride dropped to 3-6 on the season and will end their year against the winless Loudoun County Raiders next Friday.
