Martinsburg Bulldogs Bury Brooke 49-7

Martinsburg Advances in State Playoff Football Action!
The Martinsburg Bulldogs entered the first round of the AAA West Virginia State Playoff race ranked #2 and played up to there high ranking. The Bulldogs struck quick with a 92 yard touchdown return by Jordan Mason to give the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead. It did not take long for the Bulldogs to extend there lead to 28-0 at the half. The Bulldogs continued to receive outstanding efforts from there defense. Cornerback Xavier Peters picked off a pass to extend his season interception total to 10. Martinsburg continued to dominate the line of scrimmage and began to pound the ball with there two standout running backs Josh Twyman and Marcus Scott. The two seniors combined for 380 rushing yards. In the end it was a 49-7 victory which extended the Bulldogs record to 10-1 and advances them to the elite 8 in the AAA playoffs. Martinsburg will play #10 South Charleston at home next weekend.
