Dorsey's 4 TD's Leads Handley over James Wood


In a much anticipated game between Handley(7-3) and James Wood(7-3) the Judges came away with a run away victory. The Handley Judges have continued to get better each week. Versus a talented James Wood team the Judges have posted there 2nd consecutive shutout performance. Handley came out of the gates fired up and ready to showcase there explosive offensive attack. As good as the Handley defense was all night it was there offense that sparked the Judges. Handley took a 27-0 lead into halftime be hind 4 rushing touchdowns by there quarterback JJ Dorsey! Dorsey score on runs of 32, 6, 12, 50. After the half both teams responded to the call of there coaches. James Wood was putting together a drive to help spark the James Wood team. That is when Handley's defensive back Terell Corley stepped in front of a pass and returned the interception for a 101 yard score. JJ Dorsey ran the 2 point conversion in to bring the score to 35-0.

The James Wood football team finished the season with a 7-3 record and proved to the area that the Colonels are making a run towards being an elite program in Winchester. Coach Barr and his staff should be commended on there efforts this season.

Handley finishes the season at 7-3 and is carrying a lot of momentum into the Region II Division 4 State Playoff race.
