Whaley Watch - Still #1 in Region
Kevin Whaley, the Sundevils best weapon, continued his domination of the field Friday night, posting 203 yards on 14 carries and 2 touchdowns. Putting him over the 1000 yard mark and with 15 touchdowns this early in the season, he remains hopeful he will hit his personal goal of 2000 yards. Although he will face his toughest defense next week in a big beach showdown against Landstown, he remains optimistic. Whaley doesn't take credit for his performance alone, praising his offensive line and especially Rick Kresinske, Sundevils Quarterback for giving him the opportunity to make big plays. Best of all, Whaley is a Junior and will be thrilling us with his outstanding play next season as well.
Salem hosts Landstown at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex next Friday night in the Beach Showdown for district dominance going into the second half of the season.
