Raiders Pull Upset, Share Dulles District Title

(Leesburg, VA) - On a cool Thursday night, the two hottest teams in the Dulles District packed the gym for a highly anticipated Volleyball match at Heritage High School. The top ranked Heritage Pride hosted the Loudoun County Raiders, and the contest proved to be as good as advertised. The Raiders and Pride have been running neck and neck all season long at the top of the Dulles District standings and Thursday's game was for the regular season championship, or a share of it.
The Raiders pulled the upset and forced a one game playoff at Freedom High School today at 5:30pm to decide who will get the automatic region II berth in the playoffs. With the win, Loudoun County and Heritage both take home a Co-District Championship.
Check back later for the rundown on how this match turned in Loudoun County's favor and the update on Friday's one game playoff.
