Liberty Looks To Rebound Against Handley

Handley Judges at Liberty Eagles
Friday 7:00 pm
Kip Hull Stadium

Match up

This Friday at Kip Hull Stadium will feature two teams rich in football tradition and pride. The Judges enter the game with a 4-2 record and a team plagued with injuries. Depth and injuries have been a problem for Handley this season but don't expect the judges to ask for any handouts. Handley enters the game averaging 26 points and totaling 350 plus yards a game. Quarterback JJ Dorsey is the key to the Handley offense. The talented junior is averaging 290 total yards a game and has displayed the ability to dominate a game. Liberty brings a 5-1 record into the contest with its lone loss coming from an undefeated Sherando team last week. Liberty boasts a ball control offense that has also proven to be very explosive. The Eagles have three capable running backs in Myles Reid, Sam Ball Whitefield and Corey Lillard. Liberty's powerful running game looks to pound you with there fullback and then display their speed on the outside. With two quality teams battling on a brand new field you can expect this game to be very important for both teams.

Keys to the Game

Handley
1. Contain Liberty's potent running game
2. Win the field position battle
3. Capitalize in the red zone

Liberty
1.Sustain drives of 12-15 plays and win time of possession battle
2. Make someone else besides Dorsey win the game for Handley
3. Play fundamental football

Players to Watch

Handley quarterback JJ Dorsey. He is talked about a lot but he is that GOOD! The junior QB is averaging 290 plus yards a game and has scored 11 touchdowns. Last week he set a single game rushing record with 282 yards against Central.

Liberty Fullback Myles Reid. Reid is a very physical runner who cannot be tackled by one player. Myles has close to 400 yards rushing on the season and is key to the Liberty offense.

Outlook
Liberty will be fired up and ready to avenge last week's loss to Sherando. The Eagles will play smash mouth football and look to keep the ball away from Handley's quick strike offense. These two teams are very successful at there style of football and both teams are capable of winning this game.
