Oscar Smith Dominates the Wildcats

#1 Oscar Smith headed into Wildcat territory Friday night and came away with a big win, proving that their youth will not be a factor in their quest for the state title. Five different players for the Tigers scored which is a stat we expect to see in professional football, not at this level.

Dexter Merritt had a great game, completing 19/22 for 337 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Tigers to their 26th consecutive regular season victory. Dexter was named as a Gameday Gameball recipient on The Locker Room show on WTKR-TV3 Friday night for his outstanding performance. Jamal Wilson posted 110 yards on 5 receptions and scored 2 touchdowns, including an 85 yard kick off return to start the second half.

Great Bridge Quarterback Casey Turner posted an impressive 208 yards, but his team was dominated by the Tigers in the 49-12 loss.

Oscar Smith hosts Lakeland next week and Great Bridge plays Indian River.
