Handley Rolls Behind Dorsey's 4TD's 47-20

Big time players make big time plays, and J.J. Dorsey did just that for the Handley Judges on Thursday night against Heritage.
Dorsey took control of the game early in the first quarter with a long touchdown run that started from the shotgun, putting the Judges up 7-0. Dorsey would then go to the air on the next Handley possession to put Handley up 14-0. Heritage couldn't muster much offense in the first quarter, and Handley pulled ahead on another score in the 2nd quarter to make it 20-0 after the extra point was missed.
Heritage quarterback Kyle Nelson responded with a nice touchdown pass to wideout Bobby Edmonds that went for 73 yards to get the Pride on the scoreboard at 20-6. Heritage would score again on a Nelson pass to Sean McCoy from 5 yards out late in the 2nd quarter, and the Pride defense started to contain Dorsey and the Handley offense. At the half, the score was 20-12 with Heritage holding the momentum.
The second half began with Heritage taking the ball and going backwards with penalties. The Pride would be forced to punt, and when Heritage punter Chris Rossie kicked the ball from his own 5 yard line, it was blocked by the Judges and recovered for a touchdown. That play changed the momentum back in the favor of Handley, and the Pride never came close to getting back in the game. Dorsey would help the Judges get into the end-zone two more times in the 3rd quarter, and the Judges scored again in the 4th to bring the final to 47-20.
Dorsey finished with 3 touchdown passes and 1 touchdown run in the game. Heritage quarterback Kyle Nelson finished with 3 touchdown passes in the loss.
Dorsey was named the Perfect Performance Player of the Game for Handley, and Heritage defensive back Bryan McCarthy was awarded the honor for the Pride.
With the win, Handley improved to 2-1 and Heritage fell to 2-2.
